Koçarlı Vocational School

Koçarlı Vocational School, which was established under the Aydın Adnan Menderes University Rectorate with the decision of the Higher Education Board dated March 10, 2006, is located on the South Campus of Aydın Adnan Menderes University, which is 20 km from Aydın City Center and 6 km from Koçarlı District Center. Koçarlı Vocational School, which has a rich academic staff, provides a quality education with programs of Organic Agriculture, Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Landscape and Growing Ornamental Plants, Laboratory
Technologies, Production Quality Control, Child Development, Cosmetic Technology and Graphic Design. The main purpose of the programs in our Vocational School is to train qualified human resources in the sector to increase the competitiveness of the industrial, education and agricultural sectors, and to ensure communication and cooperation with the sector based on the principle of mutual benefit.

Koçarlı Vocational School was established with the decision of the Board of Higher Education dated March 10, 2006. In the beginning, taking into account the agricultural potential of the region and the campus feature of the Vocational School, 4 programs were put into effect for agricultural production. Due to the closure of some programs later, it continues its education activities with 382 students in 7 departments, which were opened considering the needs of the region and the sector. Since the establishment of our Vocational School, 4 managers have served.

To train technicians who are pioneers in both national and international arenas, loyal to our values, equipped with the most up-to-date technological opportunities that can improve our country with innovative ideas and meet the needs of the sector in cooperation with our stakeholders.

Adopting a transparent and innovative management and education approach, having high global forecasting, with programs and graduate that respond to the needs of Turkey is to be much preferred vocational school.

While the firs service buildings of Koçarlı Vocational School were 3 prefabricated classroom blocks transferred the Faculty of Agriculture and contain 2 administrative service buildings, 15 classrooms, 1 computer laboratory and 10 other laboratories, in 2016, blocks (B and B1) were allocated to conduct educational services at the moment due to the expiration of the useful lives of these buildings. As the B1 block has not yet been emptied from the allocated blocks, education are carried out at B block. Covered area of trasferred blocks 8500 m2 and contain 7 classrooms, 1 computer laboratory, 1 microscope laboratory, 1 chemistry laboratory and 15 offices. The student canteen and refectory and staff refectory in South Campus are using with Faculty of Agriculture. There is an application area of 2.500 m2 of the High School with 10.000 m2 open area. In the application area, there are two poultry areas with a size of 60 m2 and another area of 250 m2, a nethouse with an area of 50 m2, two nylon greenhouses with an area of 50 m2 and a polycarbon greenhouse with a closed area of 100 m2. There is also a beekeeping unit with 50 buckets. In addition, there is a sports field with a 500 m2 area including basketball, volleyball and tennis courts for sporting events. The Faculty of Agriculture has a rich library of books and journal to serve our students. ADU HABER is a monthly periodical journal which is open to the students. There are 2 electronic journals memberships.

There are 49 pcs computer, 9 computer case with projection-linked, 3 notebook.
There are 15 video projectors, 1 overhead projector , 1 slide machine, 1 photocopy machine, 1 fax, 1 photo machine, 1 camera, 12 printers, 3 scanners, 21 microscope, 1 dvd device, 1 plotter, 1 digital graphic tablet.
Laboratory Instruments: Oven, Incubator, Muffle furnance, Pure water appliance, Precision balance, Vortex mixer, etc.
Workshop Equipment: Turning machine, Milling machine, Engine section, etc.
Other Machinery/Equipment: Hatchery machine, Hot water dip container, Slaughter apparatus, Chick enlargement cage, Feather machine, etc.
