Sultanhisar Vocational School

Adnan Menderes University Sultanhisar Vocational School was estabilished in Sultanhisar town of Aydın in 1995-1996 education years. Sultanhisar Vocational School has been servicing successfully our country’s science, industry and technology since 17 years.
Vocational School is located in Sultanhisar town which has population of 6000 in 32 km east of Aydin province. Town's economy is based on agriculture. In Sultanhisar town has the Nysa ancient city. Transportation to Vocational School, is 15 km distance from Nazilli town and , is 32 km distance from Aydın province, is done through public bus and train running on AYDIN-Nazilli's line and Nazilli-Aydın's line.
In Vocational School are on duty totally 17 the instructor with 2 associate proffesor, 2 assistant proffesor and 13 lecturer. For specialistic courses remaining in outside of professional courses is provided support from the instructors working in other faculties and vocational schools. It is comprised from four department; Management and Organization, Crop and Animal Production, Hair and Beauty Services, Marketing and Advertising. These departments include in morning education programmes; Sapling Growing, Mushroom, Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Agricultural Management, Marketing, Bussiness and Management, Human Resource Management, Hair Care and Beauty Services programs. Medicinal and Aromatic Plants , Human Resources Management, Hair Care and Beauty Services of these programs are in afternoon education.
Our Vocational School has two campus; first campus occur from Cevdet İnci Block and Şefik Çerçioğlu. Second campus occur from Ahmet Hakkı Balcıoğlu Block, the library and the conference buildings. Vocational School including two (2) separate campus is scattered over 4315 m2 covered field, 1260 m2 greenhouse application field and 5000 m2 open application field.
Vocational school's all classrooms have computer and projection equipment. It has a computer lab supplying access to internet, two conference rooms, a pool table, a table tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, a fitness-center facilities that is serviced use of our students.
Sultanhisar Vocational School has a document of Quality Management System numbered “TS EN lSO 9001:2008”.

Sultanhisar Vocational School was established with decision dated 07.02.1995 and numbered 2-1 of Adnan Menderes University Senate and the decision on 10.03.1995 of the General Assembly of Higher Education Institution. In the 1995-1996 academic year, Vocational School began to education with Greenhouse Programme and Seedling and Sapling Programme. It is developed rapidly with Seeds Programme in 2000 year, Agricultural Marketing Programme in 2002 year, Hairdressing Programme in 2005 year, Farm Management Programme, Greenhouse and Ornamental Plants Growing Programme, Postharvest Technology Programme in 2006 year. In our school are currently four department and 11 Programmes.
Vocational School, serving in its own buildings, was increased the possibilities thanks to additional building with 7 (seven) classrooms which was constructed by our local valued businessman Cevdet Inci in 2000 years. Sultanhisar Vocational School achieved sufficient capacity with supplementary building which was built by our local valued businessman Şefik ÇERÇİOĞLU in 2006 years and Ahmet Hakkı BALCIOĞLU campus which was local constructed valued businessman sainted Ahmet Hakkı BALCIOĞLU in 2011 year.

To educate professionals who have caught the dynamism that is requirement of the age, in order to ensure the continuous development of our country, and to go further, having enough knowledge in terms of the teoretical and practical occupations required, having ability use resources in the most effective manner, having qualifications that the business world seeks in relevant sectors, keeping in mind the interests of the country and the society, serving himself to the country as a goal, having the developed professional ethics, who have adopted the total quality management and targeting to rise the level of contemporary civilization in cooperation with a sense of teamwork.

According to national and regional requirements, Sultanhisar Vocational School gives a recent and modern education by educating the intermediate staffs having responsibility and characteristics required for relevant sector and having knowledges about sector and having characteristics of professional ethics and having hardware to respond to the needs of today and producing while learning in collaboration with cooperation of industry and producer takes place in among of schools that is felt honored from being a member and being preferred primarily in national and international.

Sultanhisar Vocational School occurs from two campus: In the first campus takes place in Blocks of Cevdet İnci and Şefik Çerçioğlu. Other is Ahmet Hakkı Balcıoğlu Campus. Vocational School have 4315 m² closed lands and 9260 m² open area used as practice lands and plantation areas.
Buildings contain 14 classrooms, 2 amphi, a conference room, a cafeteria,a guest lecturer’s room, 13 study rooms for academic personnel, 7 study rooms for managerial personnel, a students and staff’s refectory, a store and an archive room, a gym, a meeting room, a theatre area. In Vocational School takes part in 4 practice greenhouses, a open practice field, a sport area in open lands. A conference building has a conference room and fuaye area. A Library building has five internet connected computer areas and five thousand books and with capacity of seventy people.

Sultanhisar Vocational School find a computer laboratory (include 40 PC), 5 research and practice laboratories, 3 practice workshops. There are 1260 m² greenhouse and 5000 m² practice lands and plantation areas. All classes carried out education and training find slide projector, projection screen and a PC.
