Since the Polymer Technology Program has an associate degree, it is a 2-year department and consists of 4 education semesters. The educational system is built upon a framework that aims to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical applications in the industry. Accordingly, the adoption of the recommended 3+1 education model for associate degree programs is essential. Under this system, students complete theoretical courses, laboratory applications, case studies, and project-based work within the Vocational School for 3 semesters, while spending 1 full semester receiving hands-on training directly at an enterprise within the sector. During the semesters spent at the Vocational School, students develop not only their technical knowledge but also soft skills such as problem-solving and project management. Meanwhile, during the industry placement semester, students do not merely act as observers; instead, they take on active roles and assume responsibilities in real-world projects across numerous businesses in and around Aydın province, gaining significant professional experience prior to graduation. This model enables students to observe industry needs firsthand and shape their career plans accordingly.
